Bruton Vineyard has been in the family for three generations. Beginning as a peach orchard planted in the early 1920s, the vineyards of muscadine grapes were planted in the 1960s.
We welcome our customers during the harvest season to enjoy the out-of-doors and pick delicious fruit for jams, jellies, wine and just plain good eating

We are not a winery but have a lot of home wine-makers as our customers.

A word about Certified Organic

Our cultivation practices are as follows:  We use only ground limestone, container processed compost, potash (as Sulpo-Mag), and blood meal as fertilizer on our food crops.  No pesticides or fungicides are applied unless indicated by the presence of disease or infestations and then we chose only those agents approved for use in organic crops. We do use non-organic herbicides in some border areas, not on the cropland.

We are not certified organic and at the present do not plan to do so due to cost.  The raspberries would qualify this year if we chose to do so, as would the blueberries.  The vineyard posts would disqualify the vineyards as certified organic due to the wood treatment used.
